Too many decisions and things that need doin’, leaves me overwhelmed and ready to drop somethin’. Feelin’ inundated with things is no fun—why is this cat in the hat smilin’?
Today I visited Dr. Seuss because he has a way of puttin’ the fun back into life and lifting my spirits on those dreary days. Just a few thoughts from, Oh, The Places You’ll Go!
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go.
You’ll get mixed up, of course, as you already know. You’ll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go. So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact and remember that Life’s a Great Balancing Act. Just never forget to be dexterous and deft. And never mix up your right foot with your left.
And will you succeed?
Yes! You will, indeed!

I feel better already. Thank you Dr. Seuss.

This is exactly what I needed! Thanks, Barbara!
Thanks for reading Jerrie!
But McBean was quite wrong. I’m quite happy to say
That the Sneetches got really quite smart on that day,
The day they decided that Sneetches are Sneetches
And no kind of Sneetch is the best on the beaches.
That day, all the Sneetches forgot about stars
And whether they had one, or not, upon thars.
Were in the same boat . . . giving on our face,
We all get a star for running the race.
Laura, I love it. Thanks for sharing!
